We have successfully held one CT scan course over one weeks from the eighth of August until the fifteenth of the same month by 9-hour, an hour a day, where the number of participants reached approximately 40 students to benefit from their practical experience regarding the field of medical devices.
The Student Branch organized this session to complete the efforts to close the gap between what the student learns from academically and practical market and in addition of medical devices, and how to benefit from this knowledge in practice (training), to play a key role as a link between them. The session took place in V business center.
The sessions were supervised by Eng. Adel Mannoun .
The device was explained piece by piece to have a complete image of what the doctor deals with as a whole.
The engineer explained how the device works , what are the common issues that occurs to it and how to fix it. He started with the 3 major parts which is the gantry, the table and the console . and how the gantry consists of an X-Ray tube and a detector that receives the penetrated ray from the body and converts it to electrical signals that will be sent to the console and finally converted to pictures after complicated mathematical operations .
