IEEE Engineering in Medicine and Biology Society (EMBS) is the world’s largest international society of biomedical engineers. The organization’s 12,000 members reside in some 97 countries around the world. EMBS provides its members with access to the people, practices, information, ideas and opinions that are shaping one of the fastest growing fields in science.
IEEE HU EMBS
The EMBS Hashemite University student chapter was established in IEEE HU Student branch back in 2013, It was the first EMBS chapter established in Jordan section and the first technical chapter in IEEE HU, and it has been running ever since with bigger and better accomplishments every year.
The founder of the chapter is Eng. Zaid Qadoumi, whom is currently a successful biomedical engineer, back then in the year 2013-2014 when Eng. Zaid was the chairperson; the chapter won the prestigious award of best new student chapter in IEEE for that year.
The main goal and the ultimate priority for IEEE HU EMBS student chapter is to create a common ground for biomedical engineering students, to contain them and be able to come up with great innovations in Biomedical engineering for a better society and a better world.
